SIGN UP FOR THE 2014 PTARC TRIATHLON -- This year's triathlon will be held on June 21, 2014 at Penn Township Municipal Park. View the complete brochure and registration form. The PTARC triathlon is open to anyone age 6 through adult. Awards are given to the top finishers.
FRIENDS OF PTARC EVENTS --
Friday, February 28, 2014 - Beer Tasting: Friends of PTARC invite you to their 4th Annual Beer Tasting! The menu will include: Pourhouse beer cheese dip with flatbread, Mandarin salad, Chicken Marsala, Beef Burgundy or Baked Italian Cod, steamed vegetable, roasted redskin potatoes, and homemade dessert. Each course is served with an accompanying craft beer and the Brewmaster will inform you about each beer!

PARK REHABILITATION & DEVELOPMENT
The Trust for Public Land conducted a study on the economic value of city park systems and found that parks can contribute to the value of residential properties immediately adjacent to a park by as much as a 20 percent marginal value!

PTARC/SHELLEY PROSKIN RECREATION CENTER -- Route 130 & Murrysville Road, Level Green. Large multi-purpose room seating up to 149 and full kitchen. Available 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m., Friday & Saturday, for parties, showers, celebrations, meetings, meals, speakers! May be partitioned into 2 or 3 separate rooms seating 75 or 50 each. Click here for more information about our facilities available for rent.
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: Paulo Ferreira
Paulo has a PHD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He works full-time for Westinghouse Electric Company. Paulo instructs mechanics and computer science courses at Penn State branches and Pitt. He has volunteered as the Volleyball instructor for PTARC since 2007. He also founded PTARC's Electronic Hobbyist Society. Paulo loves to play tennis, run marathons, play volleyball, and teach kids. Thank you Paulo for your time and dedication to the youth of Penn-Trafford!
