PARK REHABILITATION & DEVELOPMENT

Enjoy the outdoors this summer at one of the Penn-Trafford area’s newly renovated park facilities! Just completed:

Penn Township Municipal Park Dog Park - NOW OPEN!
Provided to you by a PTARC grant award from the PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnerships Program, the Township of Penn, Penn Township Recreation, and local community contributors. The new dog park has separate small breed and large breed areas. All dogs must display a current license, vaccination tag, and ID tag. Dogs must be under control of an adult 18 years of age or older and there is a limit of two dogs per handler. Handlers must possess a leash at all times while in the off-leash area and dogs must be leashed to enter and exit the park. Dog waste must be collected by the handler and placed in the provided receptacles. Food and dog treats are not permitted in the off-leash areas. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We do not recommend that you bring small children or infants into the dog park for safety reasons. Handlers must be present with their dog(s) and keep them under visual and voice control at all times. The park is open from dawn to dusk. Enjoy!
Grand Opening Ceremony: Wednesday May 22 at 6 pm

Mt. Manor Playground - NOW OPEN!
Provided to you by a PTARC grant award from the PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnerships Program, the Borough of Manor, Manor Recreation, and local community contributors. New, attractive, safe playground apparatus for children ages 2-5 and 5-12 has been installed over absorbent fall safety surfacing to protect our children from injury by falling to the surface under the playground equipment. This playground is now handicapped accessible as well! Enjoy outdoor play and exercise with your children!
